Walking is an important part of my life,
both for work and recreation. I wrote on this subject in the UK
and since coming to France have published ‘Walking and
other activities in Finistere’ (the wildest part of
Brittany), and a guide to the Nantes-Brest canal, which both
sell very successfully around the world. The former includes a
wide variety of circular walks from simple town tours to long
treks over the Monts d’Arrée.
I am currently President of the Brittany
Walks Association and regularly lead guided walks and
historical outings for both groups and individuals,
holiday-makers and residents of Brittany. Routes vary according
