Walking and Writing Course

In 2008 I shall be offering a 5 day Walking and Writing course, using the landscape as a basis for developing writing techniques and an inspiration for both fiction and non-fiction creative projects. Geology, history, legends, archaeology and artistic interpretation of coast, rivers, hills and forests will all feature in the course.
In addition to walking and creative exercises, there will be talks and optional outings to places of interest in the Monts d’Arrée. Accommodation in B&B and all meals arranged as part of the package.

Finistere, the setting for the course, is the westernmost department of Brittany. Much of the terrain remains wild and uncultivated: a dramatic coastline encloses high open moorland, atmospheric forests with remarkable granite rock formations and lively rivers. It is an exceptional landscape which naturally inspires the creative imagination.
For further details, please contact me. Places on the course are limited to 8 people (but non-participatory partners also very welcome).
